Living Room Furniture Rearranged

To make room for the Christmas tree, we rearranged the living room furniture and a surprising thing happened. We started using this room that we never used before, except when company came over. The sectional sofa that was once placed together as one long piece against the wall is now split into two pieces, arranged in an L-shape.

The room looked a lot bigger before, but the new arrangement is more welcoming, and creates a good conversation area. We may keep this arrangement after the Christmas decorations have been put away.

Once we get new flooring and a painting to go in the place of the Andy Warhol poster, this room will be finished.

Looks great! I'm a huge fan of the L and U furniture arrangement. Good for socializing! I hope you share a picture of your tree when it's up.

Hi, I'm obsessed with your turquoise carpet! It's incredible! Is it original? Do tell! Your living room looks fabulous!

Thanks everyone! Retro-Luxe- thanks for digging my crazy carpet. It's not the original carpet. The original flooring in that room was really cool. The room originally had VAT in 2 shades of brown with area rugs in curvy shapes. The rugs were probably brown, but we don't know for sure since the only photos we have of it are B & W. It's really hard to describe, but if you want to see pictures of the interior taken in 1955, they're posted on our main site. http://www.wedgwoodtulsa.com. Click on "1955 Ranch House" to see all of the photos.

Thanks!
Jennie
